Top Patient Care Services Executive
|
|
Manages all patient care functions including diagnostic imaging, infection control, laboratory, nursing, patient education, pharmacy, rehabilitation and social services. Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing patient care programs and services. Monitors the performance of patient care services, benchmarks the performance against government agency standards, and implements changes as necessary. Assists top management in resolving hospital operation issues and developing strategic plans with regards to patient care. Typically requires an advanced degree in area of specialty and at least 15 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
