Credentialing Assistant
|
|
Processes credentialing and recredentialing applications of health care providers. Reviews applications, prepares verification letters and maintains CACTUS database. Contacts medical office staff, licensing agencies, and insurance carriers to complete credentialing and recredentialing applications. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
