|
Plans and directs all aspects of an organization's claims function. Responsible for managing and implementing claims programs for all lines of insurance. Directs the review and settlement of complex or high dollar claims. Develops procedures and policies to enhance and improve the processing, investigation, and settlement of claims. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
