Asst. Professor - Biology - Higher Ed.
|
|
Conducts college-level courses in the field of biology. Areas of instruction include botany, zoology, evolution, genetics, physiology and related sciences. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures and leading classroom discussions. May administer and grade examinations or delegate the task to others. Requires a doctorate degree in area of specialty and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a department head.
