Test Pilot III
|
|
Pilots model aircraft to ensure compliance with federal regulations and product specifications. Ensures operational functionality and pilot and passenger safety. Recommends changes to cockpit or aircraft to better meet the pilot's needs or to improve flight. May pilot demonstrations for government officials or customers. Performs tests and maneuvers as developed by engineers. Requires a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager.
