Physicist III
|
|
Researches subjects such as mechanics, heat, light, sound, electricity, pneumatics, magnetism, and radiation. Develops laws and theories of physics for their application to industry. Describes and illustrates observations and conclusions in mathematical terms; devises procedures for physical testing of materials; conducts instrumental analyses to determine physical properties of materials. Requires a graduate degree and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
