Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor I
|
|
Oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Responsible for supervising the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and a variety of other machines. Oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
