Safety Director
|
|
Directs an organization's safety programs. Develops, implements, and manages safety programs, policies, and procedures. Must be aware of federal, state and local safety laws to ensure the organization complies with all current safety regulations. Responsible for maintenance of safety / accident records. May require a bachelor's degree and 10 to 12 years of experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
