Underwriter (P/C) II

Requirements and Responsibilities
Analyzes and reviews inspection reports, location, risk, credit reports, etc. to accept or reject renewal/new property and casualty policy applications. Decides on appropriate premium rates and issues coverage. Provides customer services regarding underwriting processes and decisions. May contact with the field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
