Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.)

Requirements and Responsibilities
Directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Evaluates treatment procedures to ensure attainment of objectives and goals regarding rehabilitation from drug/alcohol dependency. Works with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care. Complies with federal, state, and local license requirements to maintain quality standards. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
