Requirements and Responsibilities
Evaluates OB/GYN patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Provides comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and babies during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
