Requirements and Responsibilities
Directs, initiates, and implements a patient care plan in a long-term care environment. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Prepares equipment, applies and changes dressings, and monitors patients. May administer prescribed medications. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. No specified years of experience. Bachelor's or advanced degree, certification and/or license in specialty required.
