Requirements and Responsibilities

Senior Vice President of Market Access establishes and directs the market access objectives, policies, and strategic long-term goals of an organization. Defines and prioritizes department needs, manages initiatives, and drives strategies. Being a Senior Vice President of Market Access oversees the design, development, and implementation of an integrated marketing strategy to deliver a strong product value proposition with the end user in mind. Collaborates frequently with cross-functional partners to drive initiatives and advocate for policies that ensure the attainment of market access business objectives. Additionally, Senior Vice President of Market Access monitors and keeps abreast of trends in reimbursement and health policy that affect the organizations' products and the markets in which they compete. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Senior Vice President of Market Access manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
