Senior Vice President of Innovation develops the vision, strategy, and thinking methodologies used to innovate new products and services, introduce novel or disruptive ideas, improve existing processes, and create a culture of innovation within the company. Articulates an innovation strategy and defines objectives and measures aligned with overall company goals that add value to stakeholders. Being a Senior Vice President of Innovation champions innovation projects and oversees resources and budgets. Seeks out new opportunities with partners or alliances that support innovation efforts. Additionally, Senior Vice President of Innovation collaborates with internal teams and promotes a culture of innovation that encourages and supports experimentation and rewards new ideas and ways of thinking. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Senior Vice President of Innovation manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
