Requirements and Responsibilities

Senior Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Senior Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Senior Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Senior Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Senior Health Educator typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
