Requirements and Responsibilities

Sales Engineering Senior Manager manages teams of engineers that advise and support sales teams with pricing estimates and implementation guidance based on customer requirements. Provides analysis of customers' technical specifications and recommends the best product configuration and installation process. Being a Sales Engineering Senior Manager utilizes technical knowledge of product configurations to draft sales proposals and customer-specific pricing. Estimates the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the product or solution. Additionally, Sales Engineering Senior Manager develops and delivers technical product presentations or sales briefings for potential customers. Collaborates with implementation teams to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions or deliver customer training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Engineering Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Sales Engineering Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
