Reservoir Engineer V is responsible for identifying oil and gas reserves and developing strategies to maximize recovery. Designs and tests new wells and monitors and predicts performance. Being a Reservoir Engineer V requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Reservoir Engineer V works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. To be a Reservoir Engineer V typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
