Requirements and Responsibilities

Project Management Supervisor supervises and directs the work of project managers and project support teams. Tracks project schedules, milestones, and timelines for adherence to quality and delivery targets. Being a Project Management Supervisor provides guidance, training, and resources needed to achieve successful project delivery. Enforces project standards. Additionally, Project Management Supervisor facilitates problem solving and project resourcing. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Project Management Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Management Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
