Requirements and Responsibilities

Product Regulatory Manager oversees the processes and teams that ensure that existing and new products comply with applicable regulations. Prepares required filings for approvals, notifications, and testing data reporting with government or agency officials. Being a Product Regulatory Manager tracks and audits filings for correctness and quality to meet all content, format and timing requirements. Monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Additionally, Product Regulatory Manager reviews and analyzes regulatory changes and coordinates with R&D, marketing, and product teams to support compliance actions. Liaises with industry organizations and regulatory agencies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Regulatory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Product Regulatory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
