Requirements and Responsibilities

Product/Brand Marketing Director directs and oversees all aspects of the implementation of marketing activities to maximize sales of a brand. Utilizes marketing reports to evaluate brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops marketing strategies for a brand. Being a Product/Brand Marketing Director evaluates internal marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness of the campaign or strategy. Directs the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies effective sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Marketing Director coordinates with outside departments to develop project schedules and ensure the marketing message is accurately reflected within the campaign. Ensures product and brand practices and initiatives align with greater organizational strategy and direction. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Product/Brand Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product/Brand Marketing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
