Requirements and Responsibilities

Mortgage Lending Branch Manager manages mortgage loan activities in a branch office. Provides customers with mortgage loan information and recommends product options. Being a Mortgage Lending Branch Manager coordinates origination from application processing to closing of residential loans. Monitors trends and developments in the local real estate market and changes to private and government-insured mortgages. Additionally, Mortgage Lending Branch Manager ensures all lending policies and regulations are followed. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Lending Branch Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Mortgage Lending Branch Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
