Mechanical Engineer III
Also referred to as: Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer III
Requirements and Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. Requires a bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering. Typically reports to a manager. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
