Information Technology Auditor V audits complex information systems, platforms, and operating procedures in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy and security. Evaluates IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss. Being an Information Technology Auditor V determines and recommends improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor V typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Information Technology Auditor V works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. To be an Information Technology Auditor V typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
