Requirements and Responsibilities
Develops industrial design specifications to optimize the product function and value. Analyzes the intended use of products and user preferences to carry out a complete detail and layout drawings. Ensures final designs meet marketing requirements, quality and cost goals, product specifications, and manufacturability standards. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience plus an associates degree, or additional training, or certification.
