Geotechnical Engineer II prepares and inspects projects involving drilling and exploration. Responsible for geological mapping, report writing, site characterization, numerical modeling and analysis of excavations/supports. Being a Geotechnical Engineer II requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Geotechnical Engineer II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
