Requirements and Responsibilities

Floor Operations Manager oversees the execution of securities orders on the floor of the exchange. Researches and resolves problems that occur during the trading process. Being a Floor Operations Manager monitors business volume and ensures timely processing of orders. May be responsible for the profitability of the floor brokers. Additionally, Floor Operations Manager requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Floor Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Floor Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
