Requirements and Responsibilities

Financial Systems Supervisor supervises a team of analysts responsible for the implementation and administration of the organization's financial systems. Assists with researching financial record-keeping and reporting requirements and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements. Being a Financial Systems Supervisor ensures established best practices for financial systems are used throughout the organization. Manages financial systems analysts and trains departmental staff as needed. Additionally, Financial Systems Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Financial Systems Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
