Environmental Engineer IV identifies, assesses and resolves problems concerning the environment. May also design, install, operate and maintain measuring apparatus to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water. Being an Environmental Engineer IV performs experiments and reports findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures. Ensures the organization's conformance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Additionally, Environmental Engineer IV requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be an Environmental Engineer IV typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.
