E-commerce Marketing Director develops marketing plans and directs the implementation of the e-commerce vision and strategy for achieving corporate sales and conversion goals. Oversees digital marketing efforts geared to grow business, increase customer engagement, promote products, and optimize the online experience. Being an E-commerce Marketing Director utilizes messaging, best sellers, promotions, discounts, user reviews, and email campaigns to attract and retain customers. Deploys SEO tools and methods to ensure e-commerce website is optimized for searching and performance responsiveness as well as delivering visual appeal and compelling content. Additionally, E-commerce Marketing Director tracks and measures program effectiveness to drive improvement or develop new offerings. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The E-commerce Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an E-commerce Marketing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
