Requirements and Responsibilities
Provides expert judgment for the design and implementation of oil and gas wells. Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research into emerging technology in the field. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May report to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.
