Discharge Coordinator

Requirements and Responsibilities
Directs daily operation of record processing to ensure that discharge records are properly received, organized, and forwarded to the appropriate physician for completion. Audits medical records to guarantee compliance with institution standards, procedures and policies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
