Requirements and Responsibilities

Corrosion Maintenance Supervisor supervises technicians that perform corrosion control and maintenance operations to ensure pipeline and equipment integrity. Oversees daily field work tasks to complete cathodic protection programs, pigging operations, installations, repairs, and inspections. Being a Corrosion Maintenance Supervisor supports engineering processes. Maintains monitoring and documentation systems to ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and safe working practices. Additionally, Corrosion Maintenance Supervisor trains and coaches technicians. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's license. Typically reports to a manager. The Corrosion Maintenance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Corrosion Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
