Computer Forensics Analyst II performs forensic analysis on computer systems and servers. Investigates cybersecurity incidents using digital forensic techniques and tools. Being a Computer Forensics Analyst II collects, preserves, and analyzes digital evidence. Recovers emails, databases, and other potentially lost or compromised data. Additionally, Computer Forensics Analyst II documents and reports on findings, and recommends next steps. Helps evaluate the organization's digital forensic tools and procedures and recommends potentially valuable changes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Computer Forensics Analyst II work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Computer Forensics Analyst II typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience.
