Cloud Architecture Manager manages the team responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Leads the evaluation process to select, implement, and maintain the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Architecture Manager manages the development of scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Guides requirement gathering activities with stakeholders and vendors. Additionally, Cloud Architecture Manager ensures that robust security management and privacy requirements are incorporated into cloud hardware, software, and applications. Implements audit standards, controls, and processes to monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure. Maintains up-to-date, extensive, and deep knowledge of cloud products, technology, and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Cloud Architecture Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Cloud Architecture Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
