Classified Security Senior Manager oversees the administration of classified security programs and protocols in a department, facility, or location. Ensures effective programs and protocols are in place to make sure staff, consultants, and visitors possess appropriate security clearances and handle documents and materials appropriately. Being a Classified Security Senior Manager establishes and leads initiatives to address new security needs within the organization, or to address potential weaknesses or risks within the current system. Manages a training program to ensure personnel are trained in proper security procedures and protocols. Additionally, Classified Security Senior Manager investigates security incidents and their potential harm to the program. Requires active government security clearance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Classified Security Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Classified Security Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
