Requirements and Responsibilities

Classified Security Administrator V develops, implements, and maintains classified security programs and protocols in accordance with all relevant government standards and regulations for the management of classified information and materials. Ensures that staff, consultants, and visitors possess appropriate security clearances and handle documents and materials appropriately. Being a Classified Security Administrator V monitors access to, and security of, controlled facilities or information. Identifies potential weaknesses or risks and suggests revisions or improvements to management. Additionally, Classified Security Administrator V briefs and trains personnel on proper security procedures and protocols. Investigates any security incidents and reports on their potential harm to the program. Requires active government security clearance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Classified Security Administrator V works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. To be a Classified Security Administrator V typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
