Requirements and Responsibilities

Classified Security Administrator II develops, implements, and maintains classified security programs and protocols in accordance with all relevant government standards and regulations for the management of classified information and materials. Ensures that staff, consultants, and visitors possess appropriate security clearances and handle documents and materials appropriately. Being a Classified Security Administrator II monitors access to, and security of, controlled facilities or information. Identifies potential weaknesses or risks and suggests revisions or improvements to management. Additionally, Classified Security Administrator II briefs and trains personnel on proper security procedures and protocols. Investigates any security incidents and reports on their potential harm to the program. Requires active government security clearance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Classified Security Administrator II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Classified Security Administrator II typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
