Chief Data Management Executive creates the design and oversees development of a data strategy and processes to support the organization's current and future data asset requirements and meet business goals and objectives. Defines and implements the architecture, systems, and roadmap to obtain, store, integrate and manage data. Being a Chief Data Management Executive utilizes data warehouses, stores, and other business intelligence systems to manage and distribute data efficiently. Establishes data governance standards and policies to develop data management guidelines that will ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security. Additionally, Chief Data Management Executive adheres to data privacy regulations to ensure sensitive data is protected. Studies and evaluates emerging technologies to enhance data capabilities and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Chief Data Management Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
