Requirements and Responsibilities

Business Intelligence Supervisor supervises a business intelligence team centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Leads and guides projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Supervisor lends significant subject-matter expertise to enhance reports with insightful takeaways and perspective. Collaborates with project stakeholders to better understand valuable objectives and metrics and to aid in the high-level design and direction of relevant reports and dashboards. Additionally, Business Intelligence Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Business Intelligence Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Intelligence Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
