Requirements and Responsibilities

Building and Grounds Supervisor II supervises and trains building and grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas, and the removal of trash and snow. Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor II maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor II, a level II supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of group. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
