Requirements and Responsibilities

BIM Engineer I develops detailed models, drawings, and visualizations of construction projects or building infrastructure using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software tools. Interprets feedback to create, modify, and optimize building components, elements, and assemblies and utilizes BIM tools to reflect accurate design intent, specifications, and requirements. Being a BIM Engineer I collaborates and coordinates with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to integrate design information, requirements, and specifications within the BIM model and project documentation. Identifies and resolves design conflicts, inconsistencies, and issues to improve the design quality and project efficiency. Additionally, BIM Engineer I prepares, and reviews BIM documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards, regulations, and project requirements. Compiles, analyzes, and documents information and data from models to support and optimize project planning, budgeting, and procurement processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The BIM Engineer I work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a BIM Engineer I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.
