Automotive Mechanic II
Also referred to as: Intermediate Level Automotive Mechanic, Automobile Mechanic II, Automotive Mechanic II
Requirements and Responsibilities
Performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Provides miscellaneous mechanic works, including but not limited to body work, diagnosing, disassembling and assembling components and engines. Performs all duties according to safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may have 2 years experience plus an associates degree, or additional training or certification.
