Job Details for Assistant School Principal
Job Description
Assists the school principal in the management of education and teaching programs for an assigned school. May help in developing the curriculum, staffing the department, reviewing faculty performance, and creating an atmosphere conducive to scholarly pursuits. Coordinates school activities and ensures that budgetary guidelines are met. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a school principal.
