Algorithm and Simulation Engineer III designs, develops, and evaluates the effectiveness of algorithms and frameworks to simulate and model complex systems such as behavior, threat detection, or real-world systems or vision. Uses machine learning, computational methods, and data analysis to identify, implement, and test relevant and viable algorithms for modeling a system or problem. Being an Algorithm and Simulation Engineer III creates scalable frameworks to run simulations repeatedly and quickly or model operational environments and processes. Develops visualizations to review and communicate results. Additionally, Algorithm and Simulation Engineer III writes and reviews code in relevant languages, packages, and libraries. Typically requires a master's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Algorithm and Simulation Engineer III work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
