Requirements and Responsibilities
Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft airframe and engine to ensure aircraft conformance with FAA regulations. Troubleshoots and determines malfunctioning parts. Recommends part changes or adjustments to aircraft specifications to improve engine performance. Documents and maintains paperwork for maintenance according to regulations. Requires a high school degree, an airplane mechanics license,. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
