Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor
Also referred to as: Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, Airplane Maintenance Supervisor
Requirements and Responsibilities
Supervises servicing, repairing, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircrafts are safe for flight. Ensures compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Schedules repair and maintenance, and investigates costs of outsourcing repairs. Requires a bachelor's degree and a FAA aircraft and engine mechanic license. Typically reports to Aircraft Maintenance Manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
