Job Details for Aircraft Electrician
Job Description
Duties include planning, manufacturing, and installing electrical wiring and/or cable on aircrafts. Cuts and strips wire, insulates connections, and performs all other duties necessary in the installation process. Also responsible for repairing and reinstalling wiring or cables as needed, and ensuring adherence to established specifications. May be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of experience in a related area with certification in the field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
