Aerospace Engineer III

Requirements and Responsibilities
Designs and supervises the construction of aircraft and associated parts such as airframe, auxiliaries, communication equipment, controls, fuselage, and powerplant. Analyzes results of stress tests on various craft and missile parts and conducts research to determine flight characteristics. May have concentration in a single aerospace discipline such as: flight mechanics, guidance and control systems, propulsion systems, robotics, or aerodynamics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an executive or a manager. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent in nature. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
