Pharmacy Technician II
Also referred to as: Intermediate Level Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Clerk II, Pharmacy Technician II
Requirements and Responsibilities
Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Gaining or have attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
