Nursing Education Coordinator

Requirements and Responsibilities
Designs and conducts educational programs for nursing staff. Coordinates orientation programs for new staff members, develops programs to keep existing staff up-to-date, and acts as general resource for nursing personnel. Evaluates the program results and competencies of nursing staff. Requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires RN license. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree.
